We know your family’s schedule is packed. We’re making it easier
to try out for GRIT—with video submissions and follow-up by
email and text.
We’re opening two roster spots!
Submit by October 31
Video Tryout Instructions
Send short videos showcasing your player’s hitting, fielding, throwing, and pitching, if applicable. Please include each of the following:
Home to First
Sprint from home plate through first base. Keep the player in view for the full sprint.
Five Ground Balls
Field five ground balls at shortstop. Mix balls hit directly to the player with balls to either side so we can see movement and range. Include the throw to first base.
Five Fly Balls
Field five fly balls in center field. Keep the player’s movement and catch in view.
Five Swings
Record five swings from the side, with the camera facing the front of the player’s shirt. Keep their full body and bat in the frame.
Pitching Highlights
If your player pitches, include a short video showcasing their pitching.

Another option is to schedule a private session with Coach Chris at Divergent Performance. Email us by October 31 to coordinate a session.

Include:
- Your player’s name
- Your player’s age
- A parent’s email address
- A parent’s cell number
